Foster Care Back Packing Collection Event:

Join us March 18th from 8AM to 8PM located at Victory Chick-fi-A as we collect items for the upcoming Restoring Fractured Lives: Communities Helping Children Event set for May 6, 2017.  We will be marketing the event as well as collecting the following items for the foster care backpacks:

»» Toothpaste
»» Small diaper packs (all sizes)
»» Boys/girls underwear (all sizes)
»» Children’s books
»» Small blankets
»» Toys (ages 6 mo to 10 years of age)
»» Coloring books & crayons
»» Journals & pens

APRIL 2017

Empowered to Connect Simulcast Conference:

$15 per person / $25 per couple / REGISTER HERE

The Empowered To Connect Conference is a two-day conference for adoptive and foster parents, ministry leaders, and professionals designed to help them connect with children from hard places in order to help them heal and become all that God desires for them to be. This conference is ideal for adoptive and foster parents, those considering adoption or foster care and those who are serving and supporting others, including social workers, agency professionals, church staff and ministry leaders, counselors, therapists and others all involved in adoption and foster care ministries or services.

Conferences sessions will be held from 10AM-6PM on both days. Lite refreshments will be provided during breaks throughout the event, with “on your own” lunch breaks scheduled from 12-1:30PM. All participants are highly encouraged to attend sessions on both days.

MAY 2017

Restoring Fractured Lives: Communities Helping Children

Join us May 6, 2017 from 9:30AM to 12:30PM at Peninsula Community Chapel [4209 Big Bethel Road, Yorktown, VA) as we pack backpacks that will be given to children entering into foster care.  The back packs we hope will be a little love shared with a children facing hard circumstances.

In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about adoption, foster care, family support services and global orphan care through many different organizations providing information tables.  Through out the event there will also be breakout sessions on a variety of topics pertaining to adoption, foster care, caring for children with deep hurts and such.
